Our Favorite Memories at 477 Main Street

In just four days, we will finally be making the trek down the street to move into our new home at 620 Main. Before we move, we wanted to share a few memories made here at 477 Main Street.

Hosting birthday celebrations, “puppy and baby” showers and all-agency breakfast feasts in 477 Main. MDPR started in “The Annex,” and so the kitchen was a treat – and well-used!
-Kelsey Hanks, Public Relations Manager

I wasn’t technically working here when this happened, but it did happen at 477, so I’ll count it. When I came here for my interview, I accidentally plugged in 477 Main St. in North Tonawanda into my GPS. My interview was at 11:00 a.m., and I rolled up to some random house in North Tonawanda at about 10:40 a.m. I knew I was in the wrong spot, but luckily, I knew the library downtown was close to where I needed to be, so I plugged that into my GPS and sped there.

I parked in a lot near the library at about 10:55 a.m. I didn’t even have my dress shirt on yet because I didn’t want it to get wrinkled on the drive. So, I plugged the address for TMG into my phone and started sprinting from the library, all while throwing on my shirt. Fortunately, I found the office right at 11:00 a.m., went in, sat down, and Matt (Davison) walked in probably ten seconds later. I was a nervous wreck and still panting from the run, but the interview went well, because I got offered the job later that day.
-Andrew Bevevino, Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator

The day the roof leaked at 477 Main.
-Dick Shaner, Jr., Senior Vice President | Public Relations

Walking in on John J in the second floor bathroom. He yelled at me because I didn’t look to see if the light was on… even though he didn’t lock the door…
-Sarah DiPofi, Brand Manager

Sneaking up to the roof in the summertime before a Thursday night concert at Canalside (sorry Tim!).
– Blake Carbone, Brand Manager

My favorite 477 Main Street moment was the day we moved in back in July 2013.  After a couple of hours of spirited celebrating, the party moved out onto Tod’s balcony in the early evening. We cranked the music, did some shots and shouted out to passersby. It felt like our own version of a Mardi Gras party. Later on the evening, the music was cranked loud and a bunch of groupies started dancing to a hip hop song on the balcony. It was a blast!
-Jim Lynch, Vice President | Media Director

Since I can’t pinpoint one favorite memory (there have probably been many!). … MDPR outgrowing the compact space in the Annex and moving on up (literally) to 483 Main St. Working together in close quarters has allowed for us to all really get to know each other – and I wouldn’t have had it any other way!
– Kailey Kolozsvary, Public Relations Manager

My favorite memory at 477 Main Street was my first day joining the team as a groupie. I was welcomed with open arms and the team here is what eased my nerves on day one. To be honest, I was shocked when the job offer came, too, because I’ll never forget that I was a half hour late to the interview, but John and Matt still chose to hire me (thankfully!)
– Sarah Richheimer, Public Relations and Social Media Coordinator

A favorite memory of “working at 477” was actually the day of our move here. We did a “Race to the New Place”, which was literally just 20 feet from where we were moving from. We really milked the idea. We had a water break stop, headbands and a timed race. And to take the challenge up a notch, I was on Jim Lynch’s shoulders as he “raced” to the new place! It was a fun day!
– Lisa Strock, Senior Vice President | Managing Director Buffalo

One of the funniest memories is when I got stuck in the elevator alone at 483 Main Street and Matt pried the doors open to rescue me!
– Molly Mahoney, Brand Coordinator

My favorite memories over the last two and a half years (and four different desks…) involve the creativity and flexibility the team has shown in making meetings and collaboration happen as we’ve evolved and outgrown our current space. There’s a lot to be said about the value of having to think on your feet and be nimble in diverse situations, so I think we’ve learned a ton on the 400 block of Main Street, and we’re more than ready to graduate to the 600 block.
-John Jiloty, Vice President | Social Media and Content
